government Vs ASUU

OH PATRIOTS

Oh my dear Nigeria, a nation full of natural and human resources. A country where everything works except our leaders. A country where the intellects are being dodged out and sacrificed on the alter of politics by a few number of aristocrats. A country where personal pockets takes the higher share of the national budget and economy.
My dear patriots, is it not clear that ‘we’ are being fooled by these aristocrats? There is an ongoing strike in the education sector and all the government could say is that “Nigeria will go broke, if the 2009 agreement of the university unions is fulfilled”. In my own opinion, is it not better to go broke for our ailing educational sector to get back on its feet? After all, so much as been spent on power without visible results and yet we still spend more even if the power sector has been in disarray since I recognized myself as a Nigerian.
Ike anywhere, chairman exam ethics international had on nov. 2012 said Nigerians spend a whooping $500million (approx. N80billion) as students of the uk alone annually yet our ‘ever caring’ leaders still feel educational impact should be undermined.
However while our senators are debating on a lifetime pension for the principal officers after a monthly basic salary of $190,192, some Nigerian are leaving below $150 per day. or have they forgotten the line, “to serve our fatherland with LOVE, strength and vein” ?
My dear patriots, let our case not be like the American revolutionary war of 1775 where the high tax on tea sparked the war or the French revolution of 1789 whereby the high cost of food ignited the war.
“Arise O’compatriots” let us speak against this unfairness and let our heavy hearts be free of guilt. “Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause” and please “guide our leaders right”.
